A. Member of the British Team competing in an International Newfoundland Event in Torcy, France.
Q. Most gratifying experience?
A. Training the Monks of Puppa Strongsay in Orkney Island, with their Newfoundland puppy.
Q. Most ‘challenging’ client to train?
A. Russell Brand
Q. Most terrifying moment?
A. Whilst dealing with an aggressive Bull Mastiff, he put my Lab’s head inside his mouth.
Q. Funniest incident?
A. Police dog thought he could ‘walk on water’; he attempted to cross a swimming pool at night, the canvass over the pool being covered with leaves.
Q. Most embarrassing moment?
A. Being called out in the middle of the night, driving away from home to an incident; and leaving the police dog in the kennel.
Q. Regrettable choice?
A. The BBC offered me a series on TV, training Newfoundlands in the sea. The Newfoundland Club persuaded me not to accept, so I declined. I partly made up for it by using my ‘gentle giant’ in an advert for Curry’s flat screen TV!

A. A Lion Tamer with an aggressive rottweiler.
